Nilly Mor in an Associate Professor at the School of Education and a faculty member in the division of Child Clinical and Educational Psychology. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago and joined the School of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2003. Her research focuses on the interplay between cognition and emotion in the context of depression and anxiety. She has been investigating repetitive negative thinking, mostly rumination, and its link to information processing biases such as attention, interpretation, causal inferences and memory. Her current work also examines links between these biases and emotion dysregulation. In her work, she uses experimental designs to examine causal pathways from cognitive deficits and biases to emotional difficulties and poor emotion regulation, and to aid in designing paradigms that can serve to remediate emotion dysregulation.
